Repton Wins Northern European Reseller
of the Year Award 2004 for VMware
Repton,
a supplier of IT services to medium and large enterprises,
has won the Northern European Reseller of the Year Award
2004 for VMware,
a provider of virtual infrastructure software that helps
users respond to the changing business IT environment.
Virtualisation in the Linux and Windows arena is a
current ‘hot topic’ for IT managers. Allowing
users to run multiple instances of operating systems
on a single x86 server, VMware software builds in load
balancing and fail-over capabilities as part of its
implementation and slashes system management costs.
VMware is the global leader in virtual infrastructure
software for industrystandard systems.
Repton was the first European system integrators to
spot the potential in VMware’s technology and
has promoted it for the past few years. In 2004, IT
managers widely started listening and Repton enjoyed
significant success. VMware has since led the field
in bringing virtualisation and improved resource management
to the Linux and Windows marketplaces. Repton received
accolades not only for overachieving on its revenue
commitments but also for promoting VMware in a variety
of ways.
This year, many multinationals plan to finish their
